The paper inside was originally developed by Midori back in the 1960s for their diaries, and it’s been refined over the years to work beautifully with all kinds of writing tools: fountain pens, pencils, and more. The paper resists feathering, bleed-through, and wrinkling.
The soft cream paper is gentle on the eyes and looks especially nice with black or blue-black ink. Each notebook lays completely flat thanks to traditional Japanese binding techniques and the exposed spine gives it a clean, utilitarian look.
