Keith Haring "Barking Dog" One-Step Sharpener

Keith Haring was one of the most renowned of the young artists of the 1980s. Inspired by the graffiti artists whose marks covered the city’s subway cars, Haring began to draw in white chalk over the black paper used to cover vacant advertising panels.

As early as 1980, Haring began exhibiting in galleries and museums around the world, but continued to participate in public projects, producing murals, sculptures and paintings to benefit hospitals, underprivileged children's groups and various community health organizations.

Volume 292 is Blackwing's tribute to Keith Haring. 

The Blackwing One-Step Long Point Sharpener creates a long, curved point that looks beautiful and resists breakage. Its compact design is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand or as a permanent part of your every day carry. 

The body is made of durable machined aluminum and the sharpening unit features a German steel blade. The canister can hold three fresh sharpens before needing to be emptied.
