Gelly Roll Metallic Pens

In the 1980s, Sakura surprised the pen industry with the invention of the first gel-based ink creating the first and original gel pen. Add reflective shine to your handwriting and illustrations with Gelly Roll® Metallic™ gel ink pens. Metallic has a distinctive reflective sheen, similar to the bright colors of polished hot rods. This shiny, opaque pen writes on both light and dark papers as well as glossy and matte surfaces. Additionally, Sakura’s archival quality gel ink ensures that your work (and the metallic sheen) will last for years.

  • 0.4mm bold line, 1.0mm ball
  • Archival quality gel ink in a rollerball pen
  • Pigment-based, archival quality, metallic ink – chemically stable, waterproof, and fade resistant
  • Writes on light and dark papers as well as glossy and matte surfaces
  • No feathering or bleed-through on most papers
  • No smearing once dry. (Dry time is approximately 1 minute, depending on the paper)
  • Not recommended for use on fabrics intended to be washed and not evaluated for cosmetic use on skin
  • Meets ACMI non-toxicity standards
