About the Artist
Gossamer Rozen (they/she) is an African-American/Filipino, transgender, nonbinary femme, fine artist and tattooer based in New York City. Gossamer is a self-taught tattoo artist specialized in large-scale color and black/white handpoked tattoos. With a background in illustration, sculpture, and digital art, Gossamer brings a wealth of study and reference to their work with influences from both Asian and African designs. Aside from tattoos, Gossamer explores a number of projects and mediums including but not limited to hand-drawn comics, hand-sewn soft sculptures, woodcarving, clay, and fashion design.
